Tips on 2020 Summer Wedding Colors

Summer is upon us and with it, the wedding season. For many brides-to-be, the lure of summer weddings lays in the perfect weather - long, sunny days means more hours of celebration and gorgeous garden vistas for everyone to enjoy.

With all of that rich color in your outdoor setting, why not emulate it in the décor? It seems tempting to stick to the classic white, but many new color trends are popping up for seasonal weddings especially for summer, and it can be done easily and cheaply by using wholesale bulk candles and other accents.

Take some inspiration from your wedding location and find your perfect wedding colors combination. Some very current combos include:

  • Yellow/coral/pale pink
  • Periwinkle/brown/pale pink
  • Turquoise/cream/light brown
  • Navy/aqua/pale yellow
  • Violet/cream/mint

Some may find the darker colors daunting, but they can add contrast which can be very striking. For example, a cream table cloth with a centerpiece of brown or khaki pillar candles looks instantly elegant and classic. Or try an aqua table cloth with flowers and navy votives in the center and yellow linens for a tropical, beach aesthetic.

Save money by buying all the candles you need at once instead of purchasing several batches and look for cheap pillar candles instead of assuming that expensive equals better quality. Oftentimes it is easy to find the same candles available at expensive boutiques online for less. Buying bulk candles keeps your costs down as paying for individual items is typically more expensive and companies offer discounts for large orders. Plus your tax and shipping will be lower if you buy wholesale.

Don't be afraid to experiment with color - if you are hesitant to mix several bright, striking colors, simply select a few for accents like table centerpieces, floral décor or napkins. This way you can have the variety of color without going overboard. You can mix and match different color dinner candles or votives for the tables which will add brightness but not be overwhelming. You can also keep the brighter, deeper hues to small accents - like napkin rings or ribbons and use lighter more neutral colors for the majority of decorations.

And remember, it's your wedding day! Decorate as you like and don't be afraid to create a one-of-a-kind look.
