Saree - Not only Clothing, It's a matter of Pride for Indian Women

India is Popular in the world for its rich culture and tradition. And saree is one of the popular trend running outside of this country. If we look at the current scenario youths of nowadays are more inclined in western rather than Indian clothes. So, designers of India has changed the format of saree.

They are now started designing saree in a contemporary twist, which is easy to carry and keep our culture within. And luckily these kinds of experiments have been running successfully.

At the occasion of International women's day, the Fashion Design Council of India has launched #sixyardsof, a nationwide social media campaign, which invites all the women's across India to post their picture in their favourite sarees on Instagram and Twitter using the tag like #sixyardsofhistory #sixyardsofinheritance #sixyardsofdrama #sixyardsofselfexpression, #sixyardsofmagic or even #sixyardsofmichief as their wish.

This campaign will run up with Lotus Make - up India Fashion week AW '19 in association with Liva which will also celebrate saree and what it means to the women's of India. This fashion show will start on March 13, which will be it's the 33rd edition of the fashion week, and more than 100 designers will take part in the show.
