Chatbots are a big trend in 2020. Some say chatbots are the next websites and apps; More and more chatbots appear that successfully help various companies to do their jobs in an easier way.

 

But why would users prefer Facebook chatbot over websites and apps that can perform the same tasks? That is the question we will try to answer today.

 

People want fewer apps

 

Today, people use applications to meet specific needs. Over the past seven years, the app markets have been filled with all kinds of apps for shopping, travel, socializing, dating, delivery services, music, etc. It's nice to have such a variety of apps, but according to recent statistics, people don't download new apps as often as they used to.

And users don't want to download an app every time they book a trip, shop for shoes at a new store, or want to read a new magazine. It's inconvenient to constantly switch between a bunch of apps on your mobile device.

 

But this is precisely where chatbots shine: they don't need to be downloaded, and they can solve your problems with less hassle. To use a Facebook chatbot, all you need to do is search for a chatbot from a messaging app and then start chatting.

 

Apps have become a tough business

 

As we already mentioned, people are getting tired of downloading new apps, which gives businesses something to think about. If we search for "App Download Statistics" in Google, in most cases we will find statistics showing that app downloads are fine. But there aren't many apps on the top lists yet.

 

According to Statista, there are currently 2 million mobile apps available for iOS devices and 2 million also available for Android devices. Given these numbers, it's understandably difficult for a new app to stand out.

There are many strategies to successfully market an application. You can create a blog or contribute to existing blogs; you can advertise your application; apply optimization techniques from the App Store; actively write on Quora, and try many other tactics. But you should be aware that it will take a lot of time and money to compete with already popular applications.

 

We must also bear in mind that the applications are not websites and must be constantly updated. Every year new versions of the operating system are released, and if you don't update your app, it will no longer be compatible with the latest devices and people will abandon it. Designs also need to be updated to keep up with the latest trends. Not updating the design of an application can sometimes be enough to lose users over time. Apps only survive when they are given constant attention.

 

If you are willing to compete with all the popular applications out there and understand that the road is not easy, then you may have a chance. But the good news is that you don't have to compete with the best apps in the app store. There is an easier way. Chatbots allow you to set up a business where people already spend most of their time on mobile devices, in a messaging app.
