Today, on September 26, policemen from the city of Nowy Sącz and the Nowy Sącz take a closer look at the behavior of vehicle drivers, cyclists, and pedestrians who travel along roads, pedestrian crossings, and bicycle lanes. Reflective vest, reflective harness, bands, although they are not obligatory, make it easier for the driver to see the cyclist, especially in poor visibility. The cyclist's safety also depends on the technical condition of the bicycle and its equipment.

Since the beginning of the year, there have been 36 road accidents involving cyclists in the Nowy Sącz area, in which 36 people were injured. Most of the injured are people aged 40-59 and over 60. On the other hand, throughout Poland, since the beginning of the year, there have been 2,691 road accidents involving cyclists in Poland, in which 170 cyclists were killed and 2,448 were injured.
