While many of these emergency items may be available at home, but you need all those when your car suddenly breaks down on the way, where there are no service facilities available to you.

Usually, emergency kits may not be the same for all types of vehicle, but there are few general items that every car owner must always have with them. Following are a list of such essential emergency list of car kit that every driver must keep.

  • Emergency tool kit   

Following are the list of few emergency tools that must always be present in your car:

  • Flat-tire inflation canister
  • Jack and spare tire
  • Spare car fuses
  • Small tool kit consisting of pliers, screwdrivers, vice grips, adjustable wrench and tire pressure gauge.

  • Food for keeping your energy up

However, if your car ever breaks down in such location where there is no food available then you may have to wait for pretty long hours to get any service. In that case, you will need certain emergency food too besides water.

  • Wool blankets for keeping you warm

During winter emergencies, it will be very nice if you get a blanket to keep your body warm. So you must also keep this item too, particularly if you are with young kids who are travelling with you.

  • Flashlights meant for night emergencies

Your car can break down at night too. In such situation, flashlight will prove to be very useful for you to check the condition of your car’s problem. Often minor problems can easily be resolved.

  • First aid kit

First-aid kit is a must in every vehicle as there is always a chance of getting injured on the road. You must keep following few items in your first-aid kit:

  • Pain relievers
  • Sterile pad
  • Alcohol prep pads
  • Bandages
  • Gauze
  • Micro-pore tape
  • Soap
  • Jumper cables

Another very essential item is jumper cables. If your batteries die then jumper cables can at least help you to reach next service station by taking help from another vehicle. You should also have a battery to start your car, if no car is available around to help.
