Flower girl- A precious little angel

A girl who adds innocence to your wedding may look small, but her job is a big one! Little princess dressed in bewitching dresses with flowers scattering all around as they cruise down the aisle is stunning and spellbinding. No member of the bridal party is as important as our little flower dress angel as she draws more attention than any other. Whether the flower girl is your cousin, your nieces, your friend’s daughter it is essential to make her feel as pretty as a picture.

When choosing flower girl dresses for your big day, factors you should consider-

  1. Finalize your bridal dress first:

As a bride, she has free rule over to pick the little ones’ dress but sometimes it is perfectly acceptable to hear the mothers of the children to have some input. Notwithstanding, most brides settle on a dress that integrates with her wedding dress as a complimentary look but at other times, coordinating with the bridesmaids is also acceptable. Pegeen is known as the alternative to a white or ivory color and allows you to choose from over 200 different silk shades of color.

  1. The season is a key:

For designer flower girl dresses choose attire that gets works well with the time of the year and season.  Although we have found that a majority of the weddings the flower girl will wear a sleeveless dress.  However, from Pegeen you can choose any sleeve type including longer sleeves and necklines for religious reasons.  For warm-weather weddingswe do recommend sleeves, practical shoes that won’t stain because of rain and snow and tights.  In spring and summer weddings especially, it is practical for the children to have sleeveless dresses for comfort but none of these rules have to be followed.

  1. Let her grow into it:

Do not fret about finding the ideal fit, when picking a flower girl dress. Pegeen has made over 2 million dresses throughout our business and we consider ourselves expert in sizing.  In fact, we are so good at it, we guarantee the fit.  To read more click HERE.

  1. The Fabric matters:

While the fabric of your designer flower girl dresses should coordinate with the wedding theme, keep in mind to stay away from anything too heavy, stiff or itchy.  Our flower girl dress choices include laces, sequins, lots of bling should you prefer, tulle and organza, and of course what we are most known for, silk.

  1. Select Dress Length Wisely:

Most all of our flower girl dresses are offered in what we call “ballet length: or about 3-4 inches off the floor.  We realize that certain weddings may call for a floor length dress, especially for the Junior Bridesmaids.  A little older, this age group wants to feel a bit more like the bridesmaids instead of what they consider “babies”, i.e. their 5 year old sister. The younger girls like toddlers, are better with a bit shorter to prevent them stumbling especially going up stairs or dancing.  Floor-length dresses, then again, will in general look more formal and exquisite and might be more appropriate for more the pre-teen set.

Although flower girls are not the most important part of the wedding but the sweetness that they bring is indomitable. There is no wonder why every bride wants to have flower girls by their side.
