Get Ready for Summer – Beach Fashion Must-Haves
With the summer getting closer, you’re probably thinking that you are not body and wardrobe-ready. Before you get stressed about not having time to work out again or not having enough money to shop, let’s just check what can be done with the minimum time, money and energy investment. Here is a list of things to reconsider before you start with the summer preparations.
Swimsuits
The only money investment for the new beach season should definitely be the right swimsuit. Before you start searching for a new, trendy and usually expensive piece, the best starting point is reconsidering your body type. You should remember that your weight is really not as important as your confidence. Although this summer, similarly to the previous one, the fashionistas put emphasis on the one-piece, romantic models, or the old-fashioned, high-waisted bikinis. So, if you are not curvy, you risk looking like a little girl wearing one. The safest solution, for basically all body shapes, is quality triangle swimwear which can make your breasts and hips look either bigger or smaller. However, you need to choose the right size and model of the top and the bottom part. Together with the model, you should also make sure that the color of your new bikini suits your skin tone. If you are light-skinned, avoid neutral colors. On the other hand, if you are dark-skinned, you should be careful with bright colors, as sometimes big contrasts can look tacky.
Beach clothes
The only important thing when it comes to beach clothes is that they need to be comfortable, and made of natural materials. You don’t have to buy new clothes, but rather check what you already have in your closet and try to combine the familiar pieces in a different way. Sarongs are always a good idea for covering up your body at the beach. They are easy to pack, really convenient, and there are numerous creative ways how they can be tied to look chic. Also, you can look both elegant and effortlessly casual wearing flowy maxi skirts and dresses, of floral or even animal prints, which are very popular this season. High-waisted maxi skirts and palazzos, when combined with crop tops can even make you party-ready. If you are not a fan of the lady-like combos, you can never make a mistake by combining high-waisted denim skirts or shorts with oversized T-shirts. On the other hand, if you don’t feel like experimenting, the safest solution for the beach look is, of course, a fancy, colorful kaftan. The kaftan, or a simple, baggy, cotton dress when combined with a layered, trendy necklace, a pair of big black sunnies and a hat can make you look like a movie star.
Shoes
Together with the clothes, your shoes for the beach need to be comfortable, so high heels are out of the question. Flip-flops, slip-ons or comfy summer sandals are a perfect combo with big beach bags. Even cool summer boots can be the right fit for the boho-chic style lovers.
Accessories
When choosing beach jewelry, one needs to take into consideration that it should be made of plastic or some material that doesn’t change color when in contact with water. Also, the pieces should not be extravagantly big, in order to feel comfortable wearing them. Hats are always a good idea for the beach, and you can always adjust the size and the model to your face or head-shape, personal style and character. Not to mention that they provide very useful protection from the sun. Also, hair scarfs are an absolute hit this season, and they can make every hairstyle look perfect. When it comes to sunnies, you can leave your expensive pair at home when heading to the beach, and rather take an interesting, cheaper one to complete your trendy beach look.
So girls, don’t forget your sunscreen and positive vibes, and let this summer be the perfect one!
