The most important active ingredients in this product are retinol and vitamin C (ascorbic acid), which reduces the appearance of dark spots and marks on the skin. It also contains niacinamide (vitamin B), and it has the ability to retain moisture in your skin and is also known for its anti-inflammatory properties. These skin essentials are what makes the ingredient list of this product unique and efficient.
Review
I was on the hunt for a product to get rid of dark spots and dullness. I have combination skin, and my skin looked evidently lifeless with all that sun exposure and pollution it goes through on a regular basis. I found the Neutrogena Fine Fairness Brightening Serum and its ingredient list attracted me instantly because I had heard so much about retinol. I decided to try it out and here’s my experience with this serum.
Texture And Fragrance
This serum has a lightweight, watery texture and it’s free from any kind of oils and alcohol. It’s pale yellow in color and has a thick consistency. When I applied this serum on my face, it was really easy to spread this out, and it absorbed into my skin with much ease. Once applied, it does not leave a residue on my skin or make it oily. Its fragrance is super pleasant and smells like waterlily.
Staying Power
This stays on for a long time since it gets absorbed into the skin. I apply it twice a day after cleansing – once in the morning, and then in the evening. Since I like to add a bit of extra moisture to my skin, I follow up with a moisturizer once I feel like the product has been properly absorbed into my skin.
Performance And Efficacy
I was quite impressed with how this serum made my skin look and feel in a matter of two weeks (of course, I was using it religiously every day). Initially, I did feel a slight tingling sensation due to one of its active ingredients being ascorbic acid (vitamin C), but once my skin got used to it, it subsided and I saw improvement in my skin. My dark spots were considerably lighter, and they seemed to be on the verge of fading away. I must also mention the fact that this product did not break me out and I was so happy because its non-comedogenic claim is very true. I wouldn’t call this a fairness serum, but I can vouch for its claim of bringing back the lost brightness of one’s complexion. If I’ve seen so much improvement within two weeks, a month will probably do wonders for my skin.
Just a heads up, when I use this in the mornings, I always make sure to follow up with an SPF because this contains vitamin C and retinol, which make your skin sensitive to the sun. However, SPF is a must every day, no matter what or where you are.

Will I Recommend This Product?
Yes, I do recommend the Neutrogena Fine Fairness Brightening Serum to all those who are looking for an effective solution to their skin issues such as discolorations, dark spots, and dullness. It’s best to incorporate a serum into your beauty regime once you are in your mid-twenties because this is when you absolutely have to start paying attention to prevent premature aging of your skin.
All things considered, this is a good serum to start off with, especially for younger women. It’s also an ideal option if you want to incorporate retinol into your beauty regimen. Give it a shot, and if this works for your skin type, there’s nothing like it.
Remember ladies, beautiful skin requires commitment and effort – it’s not a miracle (of course, some women are blessed with gorgeous skin naturally), but eventually, all of us need to take good care of our skin. That was my review of the Neutrogena Fine Fairness Brightening Serum. Have you ever tried this product? Let me know what you thought of it in the comments section below.
