That being said, the occasional gulp or two won’t kill you. It is fine to indulge once in a while, as long as you don’t make it a habit.

Coke and other caffeinated drinks are like any other stimulant that is bad for you. What you need to watch out for is the amount you consume and the frequency of your consumption, in order to ensure that you don’t get hooked to it. Excess of anything gets us in trouble and the point is to stick to drinks that are more likely to promote a healthy life. Trust us when we say this. After all, aging already has it in for us. We don’t want to give it added ammunition.

Every time you go to the supermarket, read the label for ingredients and look for any mention of high fructose corn syrup. If the product does contain this sweet, sweet evil then opt for a healthier, organic variant. Though they might be a tad more costly, think of it as an investment into a bigger fortune.
